What Does A Physical Examination Include?

A physical examination is performed by your primary care doctor who will measure crucial vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate. During your physical, a doctor will examine your body through palpitation, percussion, auscultation, and simple observation.

Here at Active Therapy Center, we make your health our priority. Our physical examinations will begin with general questions about your health and habits including if you smoke, drink alcohol, or exercise regularly. Next, your primary care doctor will inspect your body for abnormal growths or marks. Lastly, your doctor will use a stethoscope to specifically listen to a number of internal organs such as your lungs, intestines, and heart rhythm.

After your appointment, you will hear back from your doctor via phone call or email. In a follow-up meeting, we will go over a thorough report of your physical examination and address any comments, questions, or concerns you may have. If necessary, we will also schedule additional tests or screenings at this time.
